Bishops from Kenya visit Rebmann House

In June 2015, a Bishops delegation from Kenya visited Gerlingen's Rebmann House

A group of Bishops from Kenya with their companions attended in Stuttgart the Protestant Church Congress and phoned the Rebmann Foundation's office: "We are currently in Korntal and would like to see the Rebmann House."

The group of 8 Kenyans visited in the afternoon first the Brüdergemeinde in Korntal, on the trace of missionary Dr. Ludwig Krapf. Although it was already late then, they wanted to see the birth place of "their" missionary Johannes Rebmann

Rebmann Foundation's branch manager welcomed the group in the "Missionarsstube" ("Missionary's room"). In a short lecture, he presented the didactical charts which show the missionarie's life stories and reported on missionary Johannes Rebmann's life and the history of Rebmann House. After a lively discussion and the obligatory journalization, the guests said goodbye. Their wish is to come back to Rebmann House one day. One of the Bishops had been already for the second time in Rebmann House.
